As of 2013 it has 691 inhabitants. [1] Castle Ravadinovo “In Love with the wind” took gold and silver medal in the “Tourist Attraction” category and was declared an architectural wonder of the prestigious international competition “A ‘Design Award” 2016. Visited the Ravadinovo Castle during a day trip to Sozovol. Bought combination tickets from Neptune aquapark with entrance to the castle included. The castle it self though impressive is a little bit too "artificial" for my liking. The gardens though was impressive and lovely.

The village is situated at a distance of 2.5 km from the Black Sea, at the north-eastern foothills of Medni Rid Ridge, which is itself the north-eastern extreme of the Bosna Ridge in the Strandzha Mountains.

For a glimpse of what ancient castles must have looked like when they were new, visit Ravadinovo Castle. The castle is an extravagant combination of various architectural and decorative styles--though it is not historically authentic. Green ivy climbs the building's exterior and its tall steeples.

The grounds are wonderful, with lakes and a little river and trees. They have lots of beautiful peacooks and other birds walking in the garden. Black and white swans can be spotted swimming in the lake. There is a small zoo as well with birds, llama & donkey.

The Castle of Ravadinovo is a spectacular attraction located a couple of kilometers from Sozopol. If you are driving from Burgas down south the Black Sea coast of Bulgaria, there is no chance of missing the impressive construction of picturesque steeples and towers with some of the roof trusses still bare- a sight to behold.
